The Mukwonago Fire Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Paid-On-Premise Firefighter/EMTB/AEMT/EMTP/CCEMTP. Pay rates are as follows:

FF/EMTB – $11.50/hour
FF/AEMT – $12.50/hour
FF/EMTP – $15.50/hour
FF/CCEMTP – $16.50/hour

POP coverage is 0600-1800hrs with a maximum average of 36 hours a week unless authorized by the Fire Chief. There will be a minimum of one position for a FF/EMTB/AEMT and one position for FF/EMTP/CCEMTP daily. Additional benefits include modern equipment and facilities and paid educational opportunities. Minimum requirements for the position include 18 years of age, high school diploma or GED, possession of a valid driver’s license with a good driving record, a State of Wisconsin Firefighter I certificate, a current State of Wisconsin EMTB or higher and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Applicants will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background check, written test, medical physical and drug test. All applicants must provide copies of the above qualifications as well as copies requested in the application when submitting their completed packets.

The Mukwonago Fire Department is a progressive and growing fire department located in southeastern Wisconsin with a yearly call volume of approximately 2,300 calls. The Fire Department provides fire, rescue, emergency medical services and paramedic intercepts from two stations to approximately 16,000 residents for the Village and Town of Mukwonago covering over 38 square miles in Waukesha and Walworth counties. The Mukwonago Fire Department is currently licensed at the Critical Care EMT-Paramedic Level.
