The Clerk-Treasurer's Office is the hub of the municipal operations.  It is the keeper of most public records.  Tax Collection, Water/Sewer Billing, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Dog Licensing, Budgets, Licensing, Permitting and many other municipal duties are implemented through this office.

 

The Village Clerk prepares agendas for public meetings of the Village Board and other Village bodies and attends the meetings to record minutes of the actions taken by the Village Board, and ensures that meetings are conducted in accordance Wisconsin open public meetings law.

 

The Village Clerk acts as a liaison between the community and its elected officials, and is responsible for maintaining for permanent record contracts and documents resulting from Board action.  The Village Clerk publishes ordinances and updates the Municipal Code book.

 

This position also oversees local elections, including assisting with voter registration, providing nomination papers to prospective candidates, and administering the Oaths of Office to newly elected trustees. The Village Clerk also coordinates appointments to the village's commissions and committees.

 

 

COMMUNITY ROOM                                                                                                         

 

The community room is located on the first floor of the Village Hall, the community room may be reserved by not-for-profit organizations for a $50 deposit.  Along with various local Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops, such organizations that use the Community Room are Senior Adults Gathering for Enjoyment and Spiritual Enrichment (SAGES), Seniorcize, Mukwonago Senior's Club and Cancer Survivors Group.  The Mukwonago Area Chamber of Commerce also hosts various outings in the Community Room.
