Mukwonago Fire Department is jointly operated by the Village of Mukwonago and Town of Mukwonago (combined pop. 14,500).  The Department is a fire/rescue department comprised of three (3) full-time firefighter/paramedics and 43+ firefighter/EMT or firefighter/paramedic paid-on-call personnel with two (2) stations serving a primary response area of 36 sq. miles.  The incumbent is responsible to the Village President and Town Chairperson with daily operational oversight by Village and Town administrators and serves as a member of Village and Town department head teams. The incumbent exercises responsibility and authority for managerial and administrative work in planning, organizing and directing the programs and services of the Department.  The incumbent serves as Emergency Government Director.  The successful candidate will possess a Bachelorís Degree from an accredited college or university in Fire Administration, Fire Science or applicable academic degree, possess Wisconsin or National registry Fire Fighter II, Level I Instructor, Level II Company Officer (or equivalent), Wisconsin or National registry EMT-B certification or equivalent (paramedic certification considered favorably), posses or ability to obtain all applicable NIMS certifications, minimum 10 years fire fighting experience with at least five (5) as administrative officer and command capacity role with a department of similar characteristics.  Must have significant supervisory experience and relevant experience in budget, planning and administration.  Salary range: $55-70,000 + benefits.  Appointment rate DOQ.  Application/job description available on Village and Town websites: www.villageofmukwonago.com, www.townofmukwonago.us or the address below: Send cover letter, resume, references, salary history and completed Fire Dept. employment application by mail to: Paul J.
