Mukwonago Uses Badger Books PollBooks

Badger Books are an electronic Poll Book.  They will be used to check voters in, enter voter registrations, and record absentee ballots.  These books work the same as paper poll books, and your voting process will not change.  The tabulator (Ballot Box) is not connected to the electronic Badger Book.  They have no internet connection or any other outside source.  The terminals are connected to each other by a private network (router) within that polling place.

Voters will continue to receive a voter slip and proceed to the ballot table to obtain their ballot and on to vote.  This is not an electronic voting system. This check in process will ensure a fast and efficient registration allowing Election Inspectors to check in no matter what county or part of the alphabet their last name is.  It will shorten the check in process and allow for a seamless experience.
