Top Code Violations

Broken FenceAccessory Structure Maintenance: No accessory structure shall be run down, nor broken fences, storage sheds, walkways, and other exterior structures shall be in disrepair. 

 
old houseExterior Building Maintenance: Buildings shall be free of - loose, peeling, or missing paint / damaged or missing bricks and/or mortar from chimneys or other masonry / detached or clogged gutters / leaking or deteriorating roofs / rotted or non-weather-tight siding, trim, windows, and doors.

 

animalsHarboring Animals: No one shall maintain a property which attracts animals, which attracts them to create a habitat. It is important to properly store garbage and any rubbish which might attract them. All animals kept on the property shall comply with Chapter 14 of the Village Code.

junk vicJunk Vehicles: All vehicles must be operable, registered, and parked on a solid surface.

 

overgrownOvergrown Bushes and Trees: Bushes and Trees shall be maintained and free of dead/diseased ones.

 
overgrown rowObstructing the Right of Way: Nothing shall obstruct the Village Right of Way including but not limited to overgrown bushes and tree limbs.

 

signsSign Violations: Sign violations such as temporary signs, abandoned signs, neglected signs and prohibited signs.

 
snow iceSnow and Ice: Snow and Ice must be removed from public walks within 24 hours of the final snowfall. 
 
 
outdoor junkStorage of Junk or Rubbish: There shall be no accumulation of junk, trash, or debris around the property.
 
 

tall grassTall Grass and Weeds: Grass shall not grow to be more than 12" on improved parcels and no more than 8" on vacant parcels. One shall not allow growth of noxious weeds. 

occupancyZoning Violations: Zoning Violations such as occupying a business without a permit, fence height, site distance, storage containers, and other illegal use of property.
